And unlike human beings search engines has an affinity for text content. The like it in Title tag of pages, header tags and off the site in link's anchor text.

They do'nt like images, Flash movies, JavaScript, frames, password-protected pages and directories.

So text is the key to rank well in search engines.

Search engines uses an algorithm to rank pages. It is a kind of formula to find the relevant pages corresponding to some keywords.

You must thinking that I know about SEO and how it can benefit my online business. So I should have SEO done for my site.

In search engines too, same analogy applies. Generally top 10 results are considered to be better in SEO. So you need to be better than the top 10 competitors in order to push them down.

Hide Your Real Email Address With Yahoo! Disposable Email Addresses

Yahoo! Mail has recently launched a new feature called Disposable Email Addresses. This new feature enables you to create multiple email addresses (not accounts) in a single Yahoo mail account. You can send and receive the emails for these disposable addresses using the Yahoo mail account only. 

Do I need one: Yes and No? It depends upon your personal preferences. Some people use only one email address for all the work and feel good with just one. But a typical net user need at least one additional email address and the best and quickest method is creating through disposable email address.

You can receive all the Emails addressed to disposable mail addresses in your current Yahoo mail account. Folders can be created to receive the emails in receive the respective folders.

What if I am no longer require a disposable mail address! It can be deleted anytime by just having few clicks. All the Emails addressed to a deleted mail address will be returned to the recipient.

How to create one:

1.  Login to your existing Yahoo Email account
2. Go to options and select Disposable Email Addresses
3. Click on the Add Address displayed at the top
4. Fill the desired address in the given field and follow the instruction until you are done.
5. After a disposable Email address is created, you can test it by sending a test mail from your real Yahoo Email address.

I have created one and using it all over the web. The moment my disposable Email address starts receiving spam mails, I delete it immediately. Isn’t it great to have control in your hands?

How to Close Your Duplicate LinkedIn Profile

You might be having more than 1 profiles on the LinkedIn site and you may not be know about it. An incomplete and neglected duplicate profile is of no use; neither for you nor for others. So it's better to have 1 active profile on social networking sites.

Here is the step by step procedure to delete a duplicate profile on LinkedIn.com:

1. Select the profile which you want to keep active. Generally it should be the one which has the higher no. of connections.

2. Login to the profile to be deleted. Go to top right and click on the your name. From settings, go to Account tab and select "Close My Account".

3. Follow the instructions until your are finished.

Is commenting on Blogs worthless!

No, If the comments have been made in the right spirit and after reading the complete blog post. There are two aspects of blogging; Blog Posts & Comments and the comments are considered to be good for a blog. But some blogger prevent readers from commenting on their blog by deactivating the comments feature.

It's fair enough if the post has already received a no. of comments and there is no scope for further commenting. But can it be justified for a new post that has the right to receive comments. What I can make out of this is that either they consider their post complete & final word on the topic or want to get rid of spammers.

Moreover, deactivating the comments is no solution to the problem even for getting rid of spammers. What can be done is to motivate the readers to write meaningful and real comments. Also, the readers of a blog hardly gets any space in a blog post except in the comments section. Unlike other blogger, I am taking the the initiative to give my readers the credit they may deserve. Because a post can not said be complete unless it has got some comments. This post is nothing but a collection of best comments that I have received over the time on my blog. And to be fair enough I have selected only a few good comments as per the following criteria:

• If the comment has something to complement my post 
• If the comment is not a spam, I mean it is not written for the purpose of putting a link on by blog or for any commercial purpose 
• If the comment is not generic or duplicate 
• If it is written about an error or mistake in my article 
• If it's a natural comment that means reader liked/disliked the article and virtually forced to make a comment
• If the comment is not a one word comment like "Great Post" or "Thanks"
• If the comment is meaningful and has come after reading the article
